• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
• After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-human CD14 antibody, clone TÜK4, recognizes the human CD14 cell surface antigen.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS via lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP), aiding in neutralization of serum lipopolysaccharides. Soluble sCD14 can distinguish structural differences among LPS molecules. Additionally, CD14 binds apoptotic cells and influences allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants of CD14. Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
