Target Information
CLK4 belongs to the CDC2-like protein kinase (CLK) family. This kinase interacts with and phosphorylates serine- and arginine-rich proteins, which are critical for spliceosome formation and may regulate alternative splicing.
Studies in Psammomys obesus (Israeli sand rat) suggest that ubiquitin-like 5, a conserved ubiquitin-like protein, may interact with and regulate CLK4 activity.
