Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, characterized by periodic changes in protein abundance during the cell cycle. Cyclins regulate CDK kinases, and different cyclins show distinct expression and degradation patterns that coordinate mitotic events. This cyclin is most similar to cyclin G and is expressed consistently throughout the cell cycle. Its precise function remains undetermined.
