Target Information
STAT4는 다른 STAT 단백질의 보존된 서열을 기반으로 동정되었으며, STAT1과 52%, STAT3과 47%의 유사성을 가집니다. STAT4는 Jak1 또는 Jak2에 의해 티로신 인산화될 수 있으며, 동종 및 이종 이합체를 형성합니다. 인산화된 STAT4는 IFN-γ 활성화 부위(GAS)에 결합할 수 있고, 세린 인산화는 최대 전사 활성에 필요합니다. STAT4 발현은 흉선, 비장, 고환에 제한적으로 나타나며, IL-12에 의해 활성화됩니다. IL-12는 IFN-γ 유도 및 Th1 반응 발달에 필수적이며, STAT4 결손 마우스는 Th1 세포 발달이 저하되고 Th2 세포 발달이 증가합니다. 바이러스 감염 시 IFN-α/β에 의한 STAT4 활성화는 IFN-γ 생성에 필요합니다.
