Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. CD45 plays a critical role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases, and influencing cell survival, apoptosis, and immune function. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
