Target Information
MAP1A and MAP1B are microtubule-associated proteins mediating interactions between microtubules and cytoskeletal components.
MAP1A and MAP1B each consist of a heavy chain and multiple light chain subunits.
The MAP1LC3A gene encodes one of the light chain subunits, which can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
