Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. It catalyzes various reactions and is used to create the GST gene fusion system. This GST-fusion protein can be purified via its high affinity for glutathione. Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
