Target Information
Cell proliferation is controlled at specific stages of the cell cycle by distinct protein kinase complexes, consisting of catalytic and regulatory subunits. Cyclins (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, T) and related proteins such as Dbf4 act as regulatory subunits.
Cyclin B3 (CCNB3, CYCB3) is a 1,395 amino acid nuclear protein belonging to the cyclin family. It is highly expressed in testis and plays a crucial role in early meiotic prophase I, important for meiotic cell cycle regulation. Three isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
