Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4⁺ T cells (excluding Th1 and Th2), and a subset of memory (CD45RO⁺) T cells. It plays a critical role in lymphocyte trafficking and T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, serving as a marker of follicular helper T cells.
This antibody cross-reacts with rhesus macaque.

Applications Tested

Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test in 100 µL volume.
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Important Notes

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability testing.
• Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Target Information

CXCR5 (CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC.
It is expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma, lymph nodes, spleen, and other lymphatic tissues, playing a key role in B cell migration.
CXCR5 expression is observed in human blood, salivary gland, and multiple animal tissues including lymphatic organs and brain.
As a member of the GPCR family, CXCR5 participates in complex signaling and regulatory mechanisms relevant to pharmacological research.
