Product Specific Information
Mouse anti-Pig CD27 antibody, clone B30C7, recognizes the porcine homologue of human CD27, also known as Swine Workshop Cluster 2 (SWC2). CD27 is a T-cell co-stimulatory molecule belonging to the TNF receptor family.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 1.0 mL of distilled water.
Target Information
CD27 is a 50 kDa member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily, which includes CD40 and CD30. Members of this family regulate cell proliferation and death.
Expression of CD27 and its ligand CD70 is mainly confined to lymphocytes. CD27 is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on mature thymocytes, peripheral blood T cells, and a subset of B cells.
Activation of T cells via the TCR-CD3 complex induces upregulation of CD27 and release of its soluble form (sCD27), which serves as a prognostic marker in B cell malignancies.
CD27-binding protein (SIVA) is a proapoptotic protein that interacts with CD27 and contributes to apoptosis signaling.
Diseases associated with CD27 dysfunction include Lymphoproliferative Syndrome 2 and Autosomal Recessive Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.
