TLE1은 여러 전사 인자에 결합하는 전사 억제 코리프레서로, NF-kappa-B 조절 유전자 발현을 억제하고 FOXA2, CTNNB1, TCF 계열 전사 활성화를 억제합니다. AES와의 결합에 의해 TLE 패밀리 단백질의 기능이 조절될 수 있으며, ESRRG에 대해서는 특이하게 공동활성화 인자로 작용할 수 있습니다.
