Target Information
ZC3H12D (also known as MCPIP4) is a member of the CCCH-zinc finger protein family, which includes ZC3H12A involved in macrophage activation, host immunity, and inflammatory diseases.
ZC3H12D is highly expressed in spleen, intestine, and colon. Its expression in murine macrophages increases after LPS treatment, though not as strongly as ZC3H12A. This pattern differs in human macrophages, suggesting a distinct role in host immunity and inflammatory response.
