Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse F11 is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human F7 and F10 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
This gene encodes coagulation factor XI, a plasma zymogen in the blood coagulation cascade.
Factor XI is a homodimer of two identical polypeptide chains linked by disulfide bonds.
Activation by factor XIIa cleaves internal peptide bonds, forming active factor XIa, a serine protease with two heavy and two light chains.
Activated factor XI triggers the intrinsic coagulation pathway by activating factor IX.
Defects in this factor cause Rosenthal syndrome, a rare coagulation disorder.
