Target Information
BNP 유전자는 나트륨 이뇨 펩타이드 패밀리에 속하며, 심장 호르몬으로 작용하는 분비 단백질을 암호화합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 내와 혈액 내에서 두 번 절단되며, 나트륨 배설, 이뇨, 혈관 이완, 레닌 및 알도스테론 분비 억제 등 생리적 작용을 통해 심혈관 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
혈중 BNP 농도가 높을 경우 심부전의 지표로 사용되며, 특정 변이는 폐경 후 골다공증과 관련이 있습니다.
