IKK gamma (IKBKG)는 inhibitor of kappaB kinase (IKK) 복합체의 조절 서브유닛으로, NF-kappaB를 활성화하여 염증, 면역, 세포 생존 등 다양한 경로의 유전자 발현을 유도합니다.
이 유전자의 변이는 incontinentia pigmenti, hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia 및 여러 면역결핍 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
다양한 이소형을 인코딩하는 여러 전사 변이가 보고되었으며, 유사한 서열을 가진 가성유전자가 X 염색체 인접 영역에 존재합니다.
