Target Information
Leptin receptor (OB-R)는 cytokine receptor superfamily에 속하며, 포유류의 체중 항상성과 에너지 균형 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 지방 조직에서 분비되는 leptin 호르몬에 의해 활성화되며, JAK/STAT 경로를 통해 신호 전달이 이루어집니다. OB-R은 extracellular 및 intracellular domain의 homo-dimerization을 통해 활성화되며, 다양한 길이와 신호 전달 능력을 가진 isoform이 존재합니다. OB-R long form RNA는 시상하부와 맥락막에서 발현되어 포만감 및 에너지 소비 조절에 관여합니다. Leptin 또는 OB-R 유전자 변이(db, ob)는 조기 비만을 유발하며, 인슐린 저항성, 고혈당, 대사 이상 등을 초래합니다.
