Product Specific Information
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended for staining of paraffin sections.
- Suggested positive control: human tonsil.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-human Lysozyme antibody, clone BGN/0696/5B1 recognizes lysozyme, an enzyme present in mucosal secretions such as saliva and tears, involved in non-specific organism defense.
Target Information
Human lysozyme cleaves β(1-4) glycosidic linkages between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine in bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan. It is an antimicrobial agent found in human milk, spleen, lung, kidney, white blood cells, plasma, saliva, and tears.
Missense mutations in LYZ have been associated with heritable renal amyloidosis.
