Target Information

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are Zn²⁺-binding endopeptidases that degrade ECM components, playing roles in tissue remodeling, wound healing, angiogenesis, and tumor invasion. MMP activity is regulated by tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs), which can suppress metastasis.
