Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits. NF-kB p65 plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells. Activation occurs via TNF alpha-mediated phosphorylation and degradation of I kB, enabling NF-kB nuclear translocation and gene transcription.
