GRAMD1B (also known as KIAA1201) contains a transmembrane region and two domains of known function: the GRAM domain and the VASt domain.
It is predicted to localize in the nucleus, supported by nuclear transport signals and nuclear-associated motifs.
This highly conserved gene is found in various vertebrates and invertebrates, but not in bacteria or fungi.
Isoforms have molecular weights of 50 kDa and 81–87 kDa; with phosphorylation, WB detection shows 90–110 kDa.
