Target Information
BST2 (CD317, HM1.24 antigen, DAMP-2, tetherin)은 B세포의 발달과 성장에 관여하는 막단백질입니다.
BST2의 세포 표면 발현은 전B세포주 DW34의 성장에 영향을 주며, B세포 발달 단계에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
또한 T세포, 단핵구, NK세포, 수지상세포, 형질세포, 골수종 세포에서도 발현됩니다.
BST2는 인간 세포에서 레트로바이러스 방출을 억제하는 역할을 하며, HIV-1의 보조 단백질 Vpu에 의해 길항됩니다.
BST2의 결핍은 바이러스 방출을 촉진시켜 HIV/AIDS 치료 전략 연구의 잠재적 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
BST2 기능 이상은 구내염(stomatitis)과도 관련이 있습니다.
