STK24 (MST3)는 serine/threonine kinase로, STE20-like 단백질의 GCK 하위군에 속합니다.
Yeast의 Sterile 20 (STE20) 유전자는 MAPK 경로 상류에서 기능하며, 포유류의 STE20 관련 단백질은 구조와 조절 방식에 따라 두 하위군으로 나뉩니다.
PAK 하위군은 C-말단 촉매 도메인과 N-말단의 CDC42 결합 조절 도메인을 가지며, GCK 하위군(Sps1 하위군)은 N-말단 촉매 도메인과 CDC42 결합 도메인이 없는 C-말단 조절 도메인을 가집니다.
STK24는 GCK 하위군에 속하는 STE20-like kinase입니다.
