Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of PAK4/5/6 only when phosphorylated at Ser474.
Target Information
PAK4 is highly expressed in prostate, testis, and colon. It interacts tightly with GTP-bound CDC42 and weakly with RAC, phosphorylating and autophosphorylating to activate the JNK pathway.
PAK5 contains a CDC42/Rac1 interactive binding (CRIB) motif at the N-terminus and a Ste20-like kinase domain at the C-terminus. It preferentially binds CDC42 in the presence of GTP, and this interaction requires the CRIB motif.
PAK6 cotranslocates with the androgen receptor into the nucleus in response to androgen, playing a role in male sexual differentiation and development. It is highly expressed in testis and prostate tissues and is activated by MAP kinase 6 and p38 MAP kinase, suggesting involvement in stress-related cellular responses.
