Target Information

GDF-5의 성숙 형태는 두 개의 120 아미노산 폴리펩타이드 사슬이 단일 이황화 결합으로 연결된 호모다이머(homodimer)입니다. 각 GDF-5 모노머는 27 아미노산 신호 펩타이드와 354 아미노산 프로펩타이드를 포함하는 전구체의 C-말단 부분으로 발현되며, 세포 내 이합체화 후 furin-type protease에 의해 절단되어 기능적 단백질로 분비됩니다.
