Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed samples): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes before staining.

The protein consists of three alpha chains encoded by COL4A1, COL4A2, and COL4A3 genes.
Mutations in these genes are associated with genetic disorders such as Alport syndrome and Goodpasture syndrome, which primarily affect the kidneys and lungs.
