For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS in a reaction mediated by lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) and plays a role in immune response modulation. Soluble CD14 (sCD14) can distinguish structural variations in LPS and aids in neutralizing exogenous LPS. CD14 also binds apoptotic cells and influences allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform. CD14 dysfunction is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
