Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

STAT2 pS734 affinity purified antibody is directed against human STAT2 protein and is specific for phosphorylated S734 of human STAT2.
BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with STAT2 pS734 protein from human and monkey sources based on homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologs from other species is not known.

Target Information

STAT2 is a member of the STAT protein family. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by receptor-associated kinases, forming homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
In response to interferon (IFN), STAT2 forms a complex with STAT1 and ISGF3G, acting as a transactivator but lacking direct DNA-binding ability. STAT2 also interacts with transcription adaptor proteins P300/CBP (EP300/CREBBP), which are involved in blocking IFN-alpha responses by adenovirus.
