SUZ12 (polycomb protein SUZ12)는 아연 핑거(zinc finger) 유전자로, 자궁내막 기질 육종(endometrial stromal sarcoma)에서 보고된 반복적인 염색체 전위의 절단점에서 확인되었습니다. 이러한 재조합은 SUZ12와 JAZF1 유전자의 융합을 초래합니다. SUZ12는 PRC2/EED-EZH2 복합체의 구성 요소로, 히스톤 H3의 Lys-9 (H3K9me) 및 Lys-27 (H3K27me)을 메틸화하여 표적 유전자의 전사 억제를 유도합니다. 이 단백질은 C-말단에 아연 핑거 도메인을 포함합니다.
