Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of CD19 only when phosphorylated at Tyr500.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and has two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells defined by kappa or lambda light chain expression. CD19 is also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. It functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and plays a central role in regulating normal and malignant B cell proliferation. Mutation of the CD19 gene can result in hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
