Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene belongs to the natriuretic peptide family and encodes a secreted cardiac hormone. It undergoes two cleavage events—one intracellular and one extracellular. The protein promotes natriuresis, diuresis, vasorelaxation, and inhibits renin and aldosterone secretion, playing a key role in cardiovascular homeostasis. Elevated levels in blood are indicative of heart failure. Mutations are linked to postmenopausal osteoporosis.
