NTRK3 (TRKC)는 신경영양 인자(neurotrophic factor) 패밀리에 속하며, 포유류 신경계의 발달과 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 주요 기질은 SHC, PI-3 kinase, PLCG1이며, 다양한 isoform은 서로 다른 신호 특성을 가집니다. 주로 신경 조직에서 발현되며, 성체 뇌에서 isoform B가 높은 수준으로 나타납니다. TRKC는 리간드 매개 자가 인산화(autophosphorylation)를 겪으며, 단백질 구조에는 2개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type 도메인과 2개의 leucine-rich (LRR) 반복이 포함됩니다.
