Product Specific Information

CSI 005-22-02 detects fibronectin from bovine samples.
This antibody does not detect human fibronectin.
No cross-reactivity observed with vitronectin, elastin, collagen, or laminin.
Validated for use in Western blotting, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), and Immunoprecipitation.

Target Information

Fibronectin is a disulfide-bonded dimer (230–250 kDa) found in connective tissues and plasma.
In the extracellular matrix, it forms insoluble, cross-linked polymers.
Functions include cell adhesion, migration, wound healing, embryogenesis, coagulation, host defense, and metastasis.
Fibronectin is highly expressed in non-small cell lung carcinoma and contributes to tumorigenicity and chemotherapy resistance.
The gene exhibits alternative splicing, producing up to 20 transcript variants.
