• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Activin RIIB is observed.

Target Information

Activin A receptor kinase (ACVR2A) is a type II member of the TGF-beta family of receptor serine/threonine kinases.
ACVR2A participates in activin and myostatin signaling pathways (Aliases: ACVR2, ACTRII).
These receptors are transmembrane proteins with extracellular cysteine-rich ligand-binding domains, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic domain with serine/threonine kinase activity.
Type I receptors are essential for signaling, while Type II receptors bind ligands and promote Type I receptor expression.
Upon ligand binding, Type I and Type II receptors form a stable complex, leading to phosphorylation of Type I receptors by Type II receptors.
Type II receptors are constitutively active kinases.
