Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CCL24/Eotaxin-2/MPIF-2 is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MPIF-1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Eotaxin 2 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are characterized by two adjacent cysteines.
This cytokine displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, minimal activity on neutrophils, and no activity on monocytes and activated T lymphocytes. It is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell lines.
