Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by remarkable biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides. Cytokeratins range in molecular weight from 40 kDa to 68 kDa and have isoelectric points between 4.9 and 7.8.
Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns are used to distinguish different epithelial malignancies. These antibodies assist in tumor differential diagnosis using immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry. Keratins serve as useful markers in cancer research and tumor diagnostics.
