Target Information
BTLA (B and T-lymphocyte attenuator) is a co-inhibitory receptor belonging to the CD28 superfamily. It functions as a lymphocyte inhibitory receptor, regulating immune responses. BTLA is constitutively expressed on most CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, with expression decreasing upon activation. It remains expressed on Th1 cells, but not Th2 cells. BTLA interacts with the TNF receptor family member HVEM, playing a key role in lymphocyte activation and homeostasis.
