Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The SEMG1 gene encodes the predominant protein in semen. This secreted protein contributes to the formation of a gel matrix encasing ejaculated spermatozoa. The prostate-specific antigen (PSA) protease cleaves this protein into smaller peptides, each potentially having distinct functions. This proteolysis facilitates the breakdown of the gel matrix, allowing spermatozoa to move more freely.
