Target Information
GARS (glycyl-tRNA synthetase) is one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases that charge tRNAs with glycine. It forms an (alpha)₂ dimer and belongs to the class II family of tRNA synthetases. GARS has been identified as a target of autoantibodies in autoimmune diseases such as polymyositis and dermatomyositis.
