특이적으로 Hexanoyl-Lysine adduct (HEL) 변형된 펩타이드 및 단백질을 검출하며, 자유 Hexanoyl-Lysine은 검출하지 않음.
Acrolein, Crotonaldehyde, 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal, 4-Hydroxy nonenal, Malondialdehyde, Methylglyoxal 변형 단백질과 교차 반응하지 않음.
