Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NAP-2 (CXCL7). Anti-Human NAP-2 (CXCL7)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Human NAP-2 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human NAP-2 (CXCL7) (500-P03) as a capture antibody, detection sensitivity is 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human NAP-2.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human NAP-2, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions when used with suitable detection reagents.

Target Information

Members of the α-chemokine subfamily of inducible, secreted, pro-inflammatory cytokines share a conserved Cys-X-Cys motif and are chemotactic for neutrophils. Platelet basic protein (PBP), part of this family, is stored in platelet α-granules and released upon activation. Proteolytic cleavage of PBP generates several peptides, including mature PBP, connective tissue-activating peptide III (CTAP III), β-thromboglobulin (β-TG), and neutrophil-activating peptide 2 (NAP-2). PBP and its derivatives mediate inflammation and wound healing. NAP-2 specifically induces chemotaxis and degranulation in neutrophils. The human PBP gene is located on chromosome 4q12–q13.
