• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Immunoglobulin classes share the same basic four polypeptide chain structure: two heavy chains and two light chains (kappa, lambda).
Kappa and lambda chains have variable and constant regions and are differentiated by the antigenic properties of the constant region.
The kappa to lambda ratio is approximately 70:30.
Antibodies to the kappa light chain are useful for identifying leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.
Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates a malignant, clonal population.
