Target Information
PDK1 (3-phosphoinositide dependent kinase-1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase localized to the plasma membrane. It plays a vital role in insulin-induced glycogen synthesis, PKC activation, and activation of the AGC subfamily of protein kinases. It is involved in cellular responses to hypoxia and supports cell proliferation under hypoxic conditions, protecting cells against apoptosis induced by hypoxia and oxidative stress.
