Target Information
In mice, CD4+ helper T-cells differentiate into type 1 (Th1) and type 2 (Th2) cells, which are critical for cell-mediated and antibody-mediated immunity, respectively.
Th1 differentiation is mainly influenced by IL12, while IL4 drives Th2 differentiation.
Deficiency in these cytokines, receptors, or transcription factors leads to impaired Th1/Th2 responses.
The gene discussed encodes a protein similar to mouse T-cell cytokine receptor Tccr and is predicted to be a glycosylated transmembrane protein.
