For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD27 is a 50 kDa member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily, which includes CD40 and CD30. Members of this family regulate cell proliferation and apoptosis.
CD27 and its ligand CD70 are mainly expressed on lymphocytes. Expression of CD27 depends on antigen receptor ligation, while CD70 requires co-stimulatory or pro-inflammatory signals.

CD27 is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on mature thymocytes, peripheral blood T cells, and some B cells. Activation of T cells via the TCR-CD3 complex upregulates CD27 expression and leads to release of its soluble form (sCD27, 28–32 kDa), detectable in plasma, urine, or spinal fluid.
Soluble CD27 serves as a prognostic marker for acute and chronic B cell malignancies.

RgpA, a cysteine proteinase, can degrade CD27 and inhibit T cell activation mediated by CD27-CD70 interaction. The CD27-binding protein SIVA is a proapoptotic factor involved in CD27-induced apoptosis.
Diseases associated with CD27 dysfunction include Lymphoproliferative Syndrome 2 and Autosomal Recessive Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.
