For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM, integrin alpha-X, ITGAX) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that forms a heterodimer with integrin beta-2 (CD18).
This complex, known as integrin alpha-M beta-2, Mac-1, or CR3, mediates interactions with ICAMs, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X.

CD11b is expressed on:

• Monocytes/macrophages
• Granulocytes
• Activated lymphocytes
• NK cell subsets
• Dendritic cells
• Microglia in the brain

Expression levels vary by cell type and tissue, increasing during monocyte maturation.
Peritoneal macrophages exhibit higher CD11b levels than splenic macrophages.
CD11b dysfunction is associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility to autoimmune disorders.
