Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The GM-CSF (CSF2) gene encodes a cytokine that regulates the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages and granulocytes. The active protein forms a homodimer in the extracellular space.
Located at chromosome region 5q31, this gene cluster includes IL4, IL5, and IL13, and is associated with 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia.
Elevated cytokine levels, including GM-CSF, have been observed in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Knockout mice lacking this gene or its receptor develop pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.
