Target Information
NDE1 is a member of the nuclear distribution E (NudE) family of proteins. It localizes at the centrosome and interacts with other centrosomal components as part of a multiprotein complex that regulates dynein function. NDE1 plays an essential role in microtubule organization, mitosis, and neuronal migration. Mutations in the NDE1 gene are associated with Lissencephaly 4 (LIS4) and Microhydranencephaly (MHAC).
