Target Information
TAB3 functions in the NF-kappaB signal transduction pathway. It forms a ternary complex with TAK1 and either TRAF2 or TRAF6 in response to pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF or IL-1. TAK1 kinase activity activates NF-kappaB transcription factor.
TAB2 and TAB3 interact with Beclin-1, regulating autophagy. Overexpression inhibits autophagy, while depletion triggers it, indicating their role as control points in autophagy regulation.
