Target Information
S100P 단백질은 2개의 EF-hand 칼슘 결합 모티프를 포함한 S100 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
S100 단백질은 다양한 세포의 세포질 및/또는 핵에 존재하며, 세포 주기 진행 및 분화 등 여러 세포 과정의 조절에 관여합니다.
S100 유전자는 최소 13개의 구성원이 있으며, 대부분 염색체 1q21에 클러스터 형태로 존재하지만, S100P 유전자는 4p16에 위치합니다.
이 단백질은 Ca²⁺뿐만 아니라 Zn²⁺ 및 Mg²⁺도 결합하며, 전립선암의 병인에 관여할 수 있습니다.
