Target Information
S100P 단백질은 2개의 EF-hand calcium-binding motif를 가진 S100 단백질 계열에 속합니다. S100 단백질은 다양한 세포의 세포질 및/또는 핵에 존재하며 세포 주기 진행과 분화 등 여러 세포 과정의 조절에 관여합니다. S100 유전자군은 1q21 염색체에 클러스터로 존재하지만, S100P 유전자는 4p16에 위치합니다. 이 단백질은 Ca²⁺뿐만 아니라 Zn²⁺ 및 Mg²⁺도 결합하며, 전립선암의 병인에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
